Help me understand E85 and Meth injection
Car is a bone stock ZL1 2009 with 2k miles. Ordered the Lingenfelter 710 kit and LG headers. IDE like the idea of more power but not trying to compromise the tame ness of the car as well as keep the general happy when she’s riding along. She’s not a fan of really loud drone while cruising. My question is everyone’s talking about getting tuned for E85 and adding meth injection. Is this all really worth it?? I know e85 can be a pain to get but we have a lot of places locally that carry it and the car isn’t a daily driver. The only concern would be road trips. Anyways pardon my ignorance but any help and advice is appreciated. Thanks

Octane is your friend. E85 is great but make sure your fuel system is up to par. Not sure if the meth would be worth it on a corn-fed ZL1. On a centri-blown car sure but not familiar with how effective it is on your car.

Go flex fuel so you can use pump gas for long trips. The sensor will automatically correct for the ethanol content. There is still good benefit to using meth with e85 for lowering IATs and for the extra octane when running pump gas instead of e85.
