So long story short. New engine with 10295 pump and 10% increase red spring.
Oil pressure with EOC setup with dewitts:
40 cold
30 @180 degrees
6600 rpm 42 drop to 39
WTF?
Remove oil cooling line from oil filter block and put block off plate:
50 cold
42@180 degrees
6600 rpm 61.
I did research and found a thread on here about a "special" 898 "modded" dewitts line. WTF?
Looks exactly like my stock lines. What is modded in it is a relief valve? Anyone seen this before? It also states it will still cause a 7 psi drop. What is going on here? What else should I run if anything?Makes me not want to run a cooler. I'm going to be pushing this motor to 7500 rpm. My feed for turbos is a sandwich plate between the oil cooler and filter housing.(now block off plate from 5.3 and filter housing.

I saw the same regarding the Dewitts EOC. My motor must be looser so Ive been debating switching to a 10296 pump.
I think that 898 line kit is just a c6 line kid modded to fit a c5. Im pretty sure Dewitts recommends and sells just a c6 oil cooler line kit that comes stock with the bypass. They dont recommend the aftermarket blocks without bypass valves.

I have lines that I used for my Z06 cooler that I ran to the dewitts after I had to remove Z06 cooler due to space constraints. I have dual spal fans as well. With scavenger pump for turbo lines. Not alot of room. My intercooler is big
I have a lingenfelter high volume oil pump(did not install high pressure spring) and cut-down dewitts and have very high oil pressures... 60's cold idle and 70's reved up cold... 40's warm idle and 60's reved up warm... every once in a while I notice a drop of oil on concrete where car was parked and its coming from a fitting at the dewitts eoc, probably the o-ring... no complaints at all about my setup...
