Default T trim or ysi

So I’m thinking about upgrading my v3 si trim to something bigger either a t trim or a YSI. Just want to know what I would need to upgrade to either set up. Current set up is a ERL super deck 427 forged block, custom blower cam, WCCH heads , A&A fuel system dual pumps, and a single nozzle alky control kit. V3 si with 3.8 upper and 10% lower. Which one to get ysi or t trim?

With that kind of engine build, I would just skip the T trim and go for the YSI. If you want to limit power, just pulley up to lower boost. But with that engine setup, it seems like you would want more than a limit of 850-900. A YSI is good for 1000+.

Yeah I hear you on that. Just want to know what else I would need to run either headunit as far as additional parts?

What injectors and fuel are you running? YSi is engine oil fed only. If you buy from A&A, they can set you up with the oil plumbing, pulley and spacers (if needed).

Right now it has 80# injectors 93/100% methanol. I assume I would need to upgrade the blowoff valve too?

Depends on your power goals. For more than 800, go YSI. You'll need injectors either way.

What size injectors? Also is the t trim a direct swap from the si trim as far as BOV and inlet tube for the air filter?

Ti trim should be a direct swap. Injectors depend on power level and fuel. I'm running 850s with 93 and meth on a maxed out Ti trim. For YSI and/or e85, you'll likely need 1300s.

What type of power would the t trim top out at on my current set up. I’m at 726/693. What size pulleys did you run to get the ti maxes out at?

I made 837/713 on 93 and meth on a forged LS7. Stock size balancer with new A&A secondary drive and 3.47 blower pulley (8 rib). 850-900 is doable on the right setup with e85.

Damn that’s good power!! Everyone keeps telling me to go straight to the YSI. I just wanted to see what my options were.

YSI is a nice blower, but my car is enough of a handful on the street already. I think I'm at the very edge of what is still somewhat manageable.

Go straight to the YSI if changing. You can control the power with your foot.

Yeah I know the smart thing would be to just go for the ysi but I’ll have to buy a lot more stuff to run it.
ysi, Bigger BOV, secondary drive, oil feed line, inlet tube and injectors I’m sure I might be missing something.

Here is the reasoning. Performance difference between the V3Si and V3Ti isn't enough to justify spending 2500 on the head unit. The YSI is gonna run you over 3k, but should be good all the way up to 1200-1300 hp.

Yeah I’ll still have to get the secondary drive kit and everything eles to run it as well.

Yeah I feel you on that I just know it will be easier to just swap to a ti trim than going for the ysi. Are you using their secondary drive set up with your system?

Yes, I have the new secondary drive and picked up 2 psi with the swap. It's a great mod for maxing out a Si/Ti trim or for a YSI.

Did you buy the modified alternator bracket and the optional power steering pulley?
