Default SC dirty tailpipe

After 60 miles, I've noticed increased soot inside and around the tailpipe. I can only assume the PCV valve is allowing some oil into the air-intake of the e-Force (I'll have to crack that open and see).

The soot amount is more than normal and splotched than before the install. Is this normal for an SC? I've seen this on turbo systems like the Sky Redline and Solstice GXP. I'm using the stock tune.

Stock tune from the vehicle or stock tune from Edlebrock? If from Edlebrock, it's likely its set to run a little richer to be on the safer end of the spectrum.

From running rich, and with added elevation even worse.

The SCT-4X tune Edelbrock offers with their e-Force.

I'll have to check for fouled plugs I guess.

FI cars need to run richer under WOT. This is a (rather small) trade off for having a forced induction engine. The canned tune from Edelbrock _could_ be improved, but you lose your warranty if they gave you one.

My advice is to wipe them more frequently. As for plugs, they should be inspected more frequently than a stock car, but I'd either use mileage or age as a guide on when to check them, not tailpipe soot. Once a year should be sufficient.
