Running heartbeat for a year now on 08 C6. Pulley is .84 that had a boost 8 psi. For a gew months in garage and workshop, it shows 6 psi. I changed the belt and checked intake and all seem fine but still runs same low boost. I have another pulley .81 but prefer fixing the problem rather going around it. What possible solutions should I consider!
I'm assuming you mean 84mm pulley. You should have a hell of a lot more boost than 6psi unless you're up in the clouds, have a very nasty cam, very open exhaust....and ported heads. How are you set up?
First of all, forget XXX pulley=XXX boost. That doesn't mean anything.
Weather, air filter, heads, cam, headers, exhaust, elevation, motor size, etc etc etc etc etc all effect boost levels.
If it was 8psi, and now went down to 6, check the weather, air filter, leaks, and belt for wear and proper tension.
kooks headers, corsa x pipe and cat-back (no cats). I use the air intake and filter that came with blower package. Alkey meth. Still at same city. And hp did not show a notable drop, 608 rwhp.
The thing is I had ~8 to 9 psi on same 84mm pulley and set up. Few months back it has been max 6.
I saw 11psi on 81mm in the past also.
Ok, I re-tuned and changed MAF but that is irrelevant I assume.
