Default Pro charger type induction question

I' admit to zero experience with this stuff. Looking at a Vette with a LS3 and all I know for sure about it is from pictures provided (not from the previous owner) is it has headers, a pro charger type of forced induction system and what appears to be a meth line to the intake. I have no idea if the engine's internals are stock or modded. So assuming the engine is stock, what kind of ball park power am I looking at here? In looking at adds for pro charger type kits, the claims are all over the place but 40% seems common.

500-1500rwhp.

Centri, meth, headers could easily be 650-800rwhp without much else changed. Without knowing pulley size, etc could be anywhere in that range.

Only reason I'm looking at it is because it's a automatic and it's wicked pretty. My shoulders and knees are trashed so shifting is close to done for me. Would never race it so I would probably pull the blower off and go back to stock. More of a "date night" car and make it so the wife could actually drive it. Just what I need. A 6th car in my driveway

If that is the plan, I would just skip it.

Not totally against leaving it on as long at it has good street manors.
These days, modded Vettes are cheaper then unmodded Vettes. If the car is a beast to drive, if I don't like it (AKA she doesn't like it) I can pull the Pro charger and meth kits off and sell them for short money. Pick up a CAI or stock filtration setup and get it re-tuned

Not sure why you'd think it wouldn't have good street manners? There's no reason the blower would prevent it from driving like stock when just cruising around assuming tune isn't garbage.

Maybe it has a massive cam or something else that would make it an issue, but the blower itself isn't going to make it a pain to drive.

Obviously you'd need to find out more about it first before buying it regardless though..

Agreed. The only real thing to look into is if you live in a hot place, the cooling system. That would be the one thing that makes it slightly less desirable to drive all the time, as it maybe difficult to keep cool without additional parts added.

Well a week ago I put a bid on it and I thought it was to much to spend on it especially thinking I might need to make changes. Been high bidder for about 5 days. Just got home from work and found someone had out bid me by a couple grand. I'm out.

Default Street manners

I have an 09 base coupe that I installed a procharger on. Its street manners are impeccable. Its cold start manners like wise. You would never know you were driving a supercharged car until some idiot in a rice burner thinks your an easy mark and attempts to lure you into a speed contest. That is when the manners of this car turn into a Monster and its everything you can do to keep it between the lines. That is priceless
