Stroker Kit
I have a A&A SC Si trim and plan on going to a Ti. I'm in the process of rebuilding my ls3 and I chosen a set of pistons and rods but my question is stroker kits. The kit I'm looking at has a 4' stroke and I've always been told for forced induction to stay as stock as possible. Will I be retarding my efforts by adding a stroker crank to my build. my goal is 800rwhp. I know my stock crank can handle this hp but would the stroker make the power easier to achieve with the SC or would it be counter productive.

If you change the stroke you will have to change the rods too. With a 4” stroke you will need a 6.125 rod.
I run a 4” crank in my motor but would like to put a 3.75 or stock stroke 3.622.(I’m just too cheap to do it) I feel you will have better cylinder geometry longevity with a shorter stroke.
If if I were you and I had not already bought my rods, I would go with a 3.75” stroke but that’s just me.

You would change your pistons if you were to stroke it. When I built my ls2, I went back and forth about stock or stroke. For the money, I went stroked. No replacement for displacement. Plus the extra cubes will help with spool with turbos

I've got an a&a kit ls3. Ran it stock internals for years. When I rebuilt it went with 4inch crank. Instantly noticed the torque difference on the street, I was surprised how much different it felt. I run my car on road courses, crossed fingers it is holding up fine. For the record, the others on this thread have a good point... I struggled with the decision for those reasons that they point out. But, it's in there now so if it destroys itself illI let you know
