Original fuel pump went out on '05 C6 ProCharger equipped with a BAP and operating at 6lbs. pressure with a modest 450 rwhp. Looking to do a simple plug-n-play, planning to install LS7 pump and delete the BAP. Anybody running, or knows of somebody, with such a configuration without the BAP and LS7 or comparable fuel pump? Personally suspect BAP – might have – contributed to shortening fuel pump life.
Also the number for the LS7 fuel pump (19149687) as posted by RichieRichZ06 in the thread (Which fuel pump?) has been superseded by 19354670 w/o a fuel level sensor, does anybody know whether GM has a complete pump with the fuel level sensor included?
Already reached out to RichieRichZ06 about the pump and thought to see what anyone here can to provide in the way of actual knowledge and/or experience. Tia.

Stay out of boost if you have a BAP and 1/4 or less of fuel in your tank. Fuel helps cool the pump. I learned the hard way 6 months after installing an A&A kit with BAP. Abel replaced my fuel pump with the Z06 pump and I retained my BAP. It has been over 3 1/2 years and no issues.
GMpartsdirect.com lists the fuel pump and sending unit as separate parts, so not sure if they come as a kit together. Also, the base and Z06 fuel pump for my 2008 now list the same part number. Part numbers change and sometime one part can have two different numbers for two difference models. GM had issues with fuel leaks on the older pumps, maybe they revised the pump with a new part number and only sell the Z06 pump for all replacements. Rich is very knowledgeable and I would follow his advice.

Do you have a Racetronix fuel harness? If not your problem may be in the relay box. Silly question but you did check the BAP fuse?
No harness, though have it — IPH-008 and FPWH-008 — now on order. If you're referring to the relay in the factory fuse box then No. Not at all a silly question, just a dumb answer as such …don’t know about BAP fuse , must refer to tuner/installer for its location in the wiring scheme.

Years ago my original installer made the mistake of connecting my BAP directly in the fuel pump wiring which eventually not only burned the up the fuel relay but the block as well. Silly mistake but lesson learned. Usually the BAP fuse is in the driver side rear wheel fender liner in front of the tire. Our fuel pumps can take a lot of abuse. I'm in the process of blower change with fuel system upgrades. Searching for 900+ at the wheels. Good luck.

That is correct, BAP are normally installed in the rear inner fender on the driver's side. Fuse will be there too. If the fuse is burnt the car will not start. Also, the BAP has a hobbs valve that normally T's off brake power booster vacuum line. If the hobbs valve is bad the BAP will not increase voltage to the pump. Normally, once boost hits about 3#''s the hobbs valve sends a signal to the BAP to increase voltage to the fuel pump.
