Hi all, I'm looking to get an A&A kit installed and was wondering what it would take to remove the LS7 heads once the kit is on? Reason being is I plan to remove the heads next year and install MS90 valve guides.
A tensioner lock bolt, and some bracket removal. Maybe adds an hour extra. I've taken off my direct drive and blower multiple times, I'm not gonna say it's a breeze but it's doable.
Basically need to remove the blower, but heads should be addressed first prior to the blower. No reason to scatter the motor and cost you $10k+ when you can deal with it now and add blower next year.

My heads are done but I only went with PM guides. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before they wear out so I'm planning MS90s in the future. The joys of LS7 ownership...
Unless you didn't do it correctly, no reason they will wear again. Enjoy it. If you got a decent setup, no reason to touch them or take them off again unless you like burning money.

A simple inspection down the road while tell you whether its even necessary. Did you go with a radical cam or something? If so, its probably not boost friendly to begin with.
