Default Adding a fuel pressure sensor

Hey guys is there a tried and true setup for adding a fuel pressure sensor to log w/ hp tuners and dash logic? Need to add one to my car and just curious what you guys are using.

Thanks

That looks like a nice setup. Anyone have experience with this kit?

I just bought an adapter from glowshift, to put an 1/8 npt fuel pressure sensor on the front shrader valve on the fuel rail.

I heard/read it can be dangerous to hang the sensor off the test port. Any truth to that?

Mines been on there forever with out any problems, personally I think a sensor would never hurt it. They weight basically nothing, now a fuel pressure regulator is a whole different story.

I did a glow shift off the test port, dont remember how it happened, probably overtightened it and broke the soddered joint at the Schrader/fuel rail. I had to buy a new fuel rail ($145.00 Summit) It works fine there, just dont do what i did.

Seen two snap off or start leaking, so yes there is some truth. Get the DSX kit IMO. Very nice setup.

As was mentioned, I make a very easy to use and complete kit for doing exactly what you’re trying to do!

NX also makes a fuel rail adapter with 1/8" NPT ports that you can put a sensor on. That avoids having to deal with the Schrader valve on the end of the factory rails.

Nice kit. Is it possible to get a plug and play version for the older HPT MVP1 scanner, through the EIO plug?

I don't have the pro interface. While I have everyone's attention on the subject, have any of you guys wired a sensor up through the egr pin to log through hp tuners? Is there a good write up on this anywhere? It wont be an issue for me to install and wire the sensor but some info on getting it working in hptuners would be awesome.

Do EGR pins even exist on C6 ECM's?

Good question, I was reading some stuff on a c5 thread. Didn't think about it not even having the pins. I'll check. Is there another sensor/ pin input people use on the c6's?

AC pressure sensor would work but obviously you're going to lose AC while you're doing that so probably not the best option

I don't know of any other way to do it that way on C6's

That sucks, I was hoping not to use a/c sensor.

Yeah, def not ideal. It's nice to know fuel pressure, but the wideband reading is more important day to day IMO. If you're ending up with the AFR/lambda you want then that's what really matters. IMO anyways.

You can connect 5v, ground, and the signal direct to the EIO plug. My kit comes with a 8’ harness to do so.
