Default Question on injector sizing YSI+LS2+E85

What size injectors are some of you running with E85 and a YSI? I have a 402 CI motor, 10:1 compression with ID1300's making about 18 PSI. Injector duty cycle is reading 130% at redline, 100% by 5700. Car isn't running lean.

After speaking with A&A it sounds like their stage II fuel system isn't enough for my application Going to add a third external pump and see if that helps.

Are you monitoring fuel pressure?

as mentioned check fuel pressure at top rpms to see if it still holding.

Not only that, but if it an early ECU, the injector scaling is going to be way way off, so the 130% doesnt mean much of anything.

like unreal said, it could just be how the tune is setup. just verify fuel pressure and let it be.

Hm, never even thought about that. Very good advice.

Must be because of double stoich / half IFR scaling setup?

1300s are too big to even do that. Have to mess with it even more.

It's an 05 so early ECU for sure. The tuner did mess with the scaling a bit. Fuel pressure stays around 60 PSI I do believe.

Can someone elaborate on why injector DC would be wrong? Or am I misunderstanding what was said?

Seems like the math behind that is pretty simple, just inj PW / inj window basically

I maybe way off but when you have 1000+ and stock ecu only supports 60lb on tables you lie on the size as you know by doing half if or more .in this case has to be more than half.

My car would always show 140-160% duty cycle, so ovvisobvi that isn't possible. Always figured it was off from the in accurate ifr tables.

Weird stuff for sure.. since it just uses inj PW in the calculations, which should be after all the other math that uses airflow/AFR/inj flow rate, etc. is used to calculate it, I didn't think IFR would make the calculations wrong. But there's probably more going on in the background of calculating IPW than I know or something that is screwing up the #'s.

Oh well, whatever works
