Direct drive for stock balancer setup?

Looking to see who likes what drive setup for stock like balancer.

I have the A&A secondary drive with IW stock-sized balancer. I went that route with 3.47 blower pulley to avoid overspinning my Ti trim.

That balancer is made for there kit. See I have a ati 8 rib balancer .an I ordered a 12%ob hub so I'm like 900$ Into my balancer. So I'd like to not have it as a paper weight. A&a kit doesnt work with stock form balacers

The older A&A direct drive works no problem with an ATI balancer. The new one requires the balancer they sell with it.

New kit came out in Dec 16. You could always try to sell your current balancer and put it towards the new design.

What blower and how hard are you spinning it? The new A&A secondary with 8 rib should suffice for most blowers except maybe a maxed out F-series.

I don’t think a straight 8 rib will suffice. The secondary drive is very efficient due to the shorter blower belt and increased belt wrap. I picked up 2 psi utilizing a slightly larger blower pulley with same size balancer after making the switch.

I wouldn't waste the time/money on and just sell the balancer and move on. There is a reason A&A developed the new kit.

Hell I went through 4 balancers, and 3 DD kits before I landed up with what I have. Either do it right up front or land up spending way more in the long term.

what unreal said. I ended up throwing/selling penny on $ most of my 8 rib set up when going to direct drive. When you bought the YSI should bought DD with it.

its just money, its why we go to work....
