Default E85 Cost and availability

I've got a GS with the Edlebrock SC, Headers and a tune. I was thinking about upgrading to run E85 but concerned E85 is going away. Getting harder to find it here in DFW and the buzz about flex flew vehicles seems to have died down. I don't want to invest the money to convert to E85 only to see it go away in a few years. Maybe i would be better off using that money for a cam and injectors. How much money does it actually cost to upgrade to E85? I don't have the time nor skill to do it myself so I will have to farm it out to 21st Century Muscle Cars

Edlebrock stage II set-up which includes the boost-a pump, AR 1 7/8" w/a 3" catted X-pipe, LG radiator and custom tune. 627 RWHP

I live in Texas so gets a little hot here. I thought E85 would be a good choice for little bump in power plus the cooling effect just not sure it will be around in 3 years. Might be better off to just get a blower cam.

there's quite a few stations around my area, I sure hope it doesn't go away... I keep a barrell of it in the garage and just top the car off before I take it out that way I don't have to keep running to the station

Get a flex tune, I run 93 during the week and E85 or mix on the weekends, my pumps say they're e85 compatable but I still don't trust them so I cycle the 93/e85.. I like it because of it's smell, burns better, and is cheaper despite needing more of it. I don't like it because I have to take my daily an hour away to get it, which I dump into 50 gal drums.

You'll need the flex fuel sensor which is like $300, and depending on your injectors/fuel system you might need to change it up.

If you haven't looked into injectors you'll need for E85.....let me just warn you, making sure you"re sitting down when you check the price on ID 1300's and up

I saw an email regarding the fuel sender being backwards and needing to know how I fixed it? If you can re-send and include your email I'll send you a copy of my tune that has the fuel level stuff changed to work correctly with the driver side fuel sender switched to the newer one that is backwards (and passenger tank still stock).

The two tables are linked in a weird way but tuner should be able to figure it out if he just copies what I did.

Got a quote from 21st Century for approx $3100 for the flex kit, external fuel pump, injectors and e85 tune. I'm guessing the injectors are a large part of that cost.

Yeah if they quoted ID 1300’s or larger, $1800 on the 1300’s, they only go up from there.

I run a twin 380 external pump setup 10an feed -6 return $500, fasster high-flow rails $120, bosch flow matched 2200cc injectors $550 (carter motorsports), DSX flex kit $300 and my tune was $400. I can daily on 93 or on e85, driveability would be stock if my clutch wasn't so damn heavy.
