Why not the tried and true highram with the intercooler in it? Proven to work over and over again and affordable.

I thought about, but I have to cut the hood for clearance. So I cancel it.

I think I'll face the same problem with the hood

No decent intercooler manifold will fit under a stock hood/cowl.

This sadly. Most of the good manifolds hardily fit period let alone toss a ic core in there.

Why do you need the cooler in the manifold? Can’t you mount it elsewhere? People have strapped some pretty big coolers behind the fog lights!

That's a neat intercooler, but not $10,000 neat. It also says on their page it won't fit a C6.

Them being in the ic saves a ton of fab work and bs but just doesnt fit well on this platform sadly.

I have always been a big fan of the fog light coolers on these cars but could not imagine dealing with making it work.

Some of the big shops have managed to fit massive coolers there! I’ll try and dig out some threads. Twin Garrett 1000 cores (one each side) should work pretty well.

The other alternative is to ise something like the Shearer 2000bhp twin turbo air to water core and mount it where you would normally sit you intercooler. Yes it’s going to block some of the airflow but it won’t be heating the air up at all!

Hey All,
Thanks for sharing your opinions regarding this subject.

Coolers in fog lights will be for EO and TO so this plan will not work with me
I thought about the intercooler intake manifold because I can't put a regular ic in front of the radiator for 2 reasons 1st I live in a very hot area the temp reach 50c easily
so the car will be cooked, the 2nd reason is the limited space under the hood if I go with fab intercooler.
One of my friends has the BMR ic intake and it works very well I'll take it to see the space between it and the hood.
I'll update you here about all the details.

BMR looks same as the LPE for Gen5 ? Probably too tall for a Vette though ?
