those hooker manifolds look like they would hog up more space than they are worth, but the time savings would be nice. it also looks like hooker puts the turbo above the hood in our case.
John, are you running exhaust out the front or plan on going through to the back?

All you get are the cast manifolds and some V band clamps. The bent tubing you see in that photo I posted is someone else's fab work...so the turbo can go anywhere you want to fit it. But yes, I still don't think the manifolds would fit well.

im taking it that cx is the only company you can source "pre" made hot and cold side stuff then(thats not a huge gamble). Everywhere else is the KIT or nothing.
seems i should start learning to TIG weld before i start something like this LOL

Progress on this pretty much came to a halt the last week or so. I was in South Korea doing some training for work. Had a blast but I was ready to get back home to work on this. While I was gone, I got a few parts in the mail. Injectors, missing t-bolt clamps from the CX Racing cold side, injector clips and stainless buckets.
Motor is still not in the car and my turbo still has not shipped.
I did place an order for the BTR intake manifold. The lead time was 4-6 weeks when I placed my order a little over a week ago.

Nice! Enjoyed the trip pictures on FB. I am ready to see this CX kit come together. May as well sell my headers too and do it😂. Jk. Which Turbo did you end up with?
I am interested to see the BTR manifold perform. A ton of 5.0 1,200+ guys use the Sniper Race manifold.

It's a Forced Inductions s476 with a T4 flange and 96mm turbine/1.10 a/r.
Not too many results yet for the BTR manifold but it's also not the first out there with that design. It will sacrifice a little more down low because of it's, overall, shorter dimensions. It was pretty much on par with the Holley Hi Ram and the Edlebrock Proform from ~5500-8000 rpm. The overall height of the BTR manifold is 7.7". This should fit underneath the stock hood, especially with a pair of Hinson low mounts.
I'm hoping to get the motor in the car this weekend.

Iv been eyeing the BTR intake, I really want something different than stock. I don't really like the looks of a BTR and don't think I could justify an LME or something. The nice thing about turbo setups is we can just turn the **** a click and make up the 20-30hp difference from an intake.

Because balancer can spin on any high HP build from the quick acceleration of the motor. Spinning balancer can ruin the crank. So the basic zero cost and few hours at most of time to prevent a huge failure is basically a no brainer.

On a 600-800hp build, maybe not. On high HP, the instant hit can cause the damper to slip which can wipe the crank out. Overall there is really no downside besides just doing it so why not.
Then again it is rare for a turbo car to have issues with it.
