Default Future motor build questions

Just wondering if the direction Im thinking for my motor build at the end of this year is solid for my goals. Currently car is LS3 wet-sump, cammed, stock heads and bottom end, E85 and 14lbs of boost (meth getting added in 2 weeks)
Car makes 800-850rwhp through a stalled 6L80e once the meth is on. For when i want to go bigger blower and built motor i was thinking of a taking the stock LS3 and building a forged 388ci motor.

couple questions are:
1. LS3 or LSA block better?
2. sticking with 4bolt block ok at 1000rwhp?
3. Is 388 a good size to go too?

I would do a 5.3 with a 4.125 bore to make a 388 and rev it out one of my dream builds that I would like to do, look into it selling your current short block 4 bolt heads should be fine for 1000whp from what I read on the forums and engine builders I’ve talked too. I would skip on the lsa block

I was wondering if a 5.3 could be taken to a 388. Thanks for the info!

His engine only blew up cause he said screw it and sent it down the track without coolant

I would do either a stock cube or a 416 CID motor with either the stock block or an LSA one and put some good heads on it and forget about re-sleeving a 5.3 block to turn big rpm, because those 6L80s aren’t designed for turning high rpm anyhow. If you use ARP studs and LS9 head gaskets, that should keep her buttoned up at ~1000whp for sure.
Spend your money on a D1X or YSI blower and make more power than that transmission can handle.
Hell, if your car is making 800-850 whp now through a 6L80 with an unlocked high stall converter, you probably have enough power to run 8s in the 1/4 already.
my 2 cents...

I'm going to have the 6L80built in a few months to be able to handle all the power i want. I figured having a built 388 would be more beneficial with a centri blower and high stall to spin it more. Im not a huge fan of strokers
