I'm starting down the path of forced induction, currently looking at an A&A supercharger. I'm on the fence on doing alky because I daily this car and don't want to add something that will be a big hassle. Going to the tuner to buy alky each week, etc.
So I'm curious for those of you who DD your car and have alky/meth, are you glad you did it? How often do you find yourself filling your tank? Would you do it again if you started over?
I have an AlkyControl single nozzle (15). I find myself filling the meth tank around the same time I fill my fuel tank, although it's not a DD so I tend to drive it a little harder when I actually do drive it, that's what it's there for! I've switched to E-85 for my last couple fills and I'm not running meth with that, so there's another option if it's common in your area. You'll need the fuel system for that of course if you go that route.

I tend to fill up once every 4-5 days, and I like to drive the car for what it's worth. Just got a speeding ticket today actually.
So it sounds like Alky could be more of a hassle than I'm wanting to mess with. It's just such a hard decision to leave that kind of power on the table.
E85 isn't super common in my area, but I'll dig a bit deeper into that option. I appreciate the insight!
Although I don't daily my car, I don't find Alky to be a hassle at all. A 5 gallon jug of Meth lasts quite awhile and is super simple to fill up every couple weeks. Keep in mind that you're really not gonna be spraying meth till 3500+ so normal driving it's not even going to use anything. Beyond that just changing out the pump every 12-18 months is about all the maintenance that there is with the Alky Control setup.
I've had Alky Control on my turbo Camaro SS since 2004. Have not had any hassles or issues at all with it. It's a weekend car now but even when it was my DD, I didn't have to replenish the meth tank very often as it didn't start spraying until boost kicked in at 3,500 rpm as mentioned above. Highway on-ramps, wide open roads, winding mountain roads? Yes it's gonna spray. Daily commute? Not so much.
I bought a 5 gallon can of methanol when I lived in FL but moved before I used it all. I've found it more convenient to just top off with the yellow bottles of HEET which is methyl alcohol or methanol. More expensive than getting a 5 gallon can of the stuff but unless you're going to the track or strip regularly, those yellow bottles are so convenient. Even Wally sells those things for not that much money.

I top off the meth at oil changes. Go through a $20 5 gallon pail every 4-5 months. Only sprays on my car over 10psi, so I can go for weeks without using any. Meth is definitely not a hassle.
Just do it. However much you picture yourself using, you will end up using way less. I feel like my meth cans last forever, and that's including doing track days every couple months.
I've had my car for 4 years and still have yet to go into boost enough to need to refill it.
You haven't filled your meth reservoir in 4 years? You will lose meth just through evaporation. I would be concerned. Just mine sitting all winter it will lose 1/4 - 1/2 gallon, and yes there are no leaks.
To the OP, I put on about 5K per year and a 5 gallon can of meth will last at least that long, more like 1.5-2 years. It's zero hassle, and the hp and safety wayyy outweigh having to fill the reservoir once or twice a month.
Thanks again for all of the replies and info from personal experience.
Just to give myself an idea of how often I'll hit boost in daily driving situations, I've set my shift light to 3500 RPM. If it only lights up every day or two of "normal" driving I don't think that I'll go through enough meth be a hassle.
And other than saying you want an A&A Supercharger...you arent giving anyone here any worthwhile details to offer suggestions.
Here is the plan. I'm hoping to hit 750 rwhp.
Performance mods currently on car: BTR stage 2 cam Vararam Intake Vmaxx ported and polished throttle body Billy Boat long tube header Borla Stinger exhaust
