This goes out to the turbo guys/builders in this group.
I'm looking for a good boost controller for my project. I'm going to put a boost controller on my YSi-V7. For the immediate future it's because it is a stopgap because I'm out of injector and will be going FIC later. I'm going to pulley it down then cap the boost somewhere between 10-12 PSI....ish. Later on I will be able to set a street/strip/circuit profile.
Problem is I'm not sure on what brand of controller to use. I'm looking at Greddy's Profec with MAP or Turbosmart. I think both can be mapped by either RPM or MAP. Just curious id anybody has any experience with either or can recommend one..
I had a nice GFB controller and ended up selling it for a cheap amazon manual controller. I never really understood the need for an expensive controller unless you're making a crap load of power where you need boost by gear or something like that. This doesn't really answer your question but my $15 dollar manual controller works perfect on my 800hp setup.
This is what me and a couple other guys have installed great customer support quick to respond to emails with questions ect. Nothing else offers such a wide variety of features outside of a standalone.
The controller needs something to control, so that is first step. How are you planning on controlling boost with the blower? That needs to be established first.
