Currently having the dreaded belt issue on my a&a kit of shredding belts and destroying the idler pulley under the manual tensioner on bracket. I am running the 6 rib set up from supercharger to accessories on a V2SI supercharger with a 3.12 pulley and a stock balancer making 13psi in 6000+ DA. I just bought a YSI head unit that will be replacing my v2. I am reading up on flip drives and can’t seem to figure which flip drive to go with (seems like it’s a brand preference to me) as I want to keep the 6 rib on the YSI. I’ve read on the forums people using a flip drive keeping the stock 6 rib balancer and making over 800. I would think not spinning the YSI as fast with a 3.4 (around 46k RPM) as the v2 on a 3.12 (around 58k) would ease the strain on the belt. Any information would really help.
No point in having a ysi if you're not going to use it, just get a v3 they'll make 800 but you'll likely need a flip drive anyways. I have the A&A 8rib running a 2.7/10% on my ysi.

how much psi and what rwhp are you at?
I was being lazy and didn’t want to change out the balancer in my garage honestly but the a&a flip drive looks promising will a 10 rib fit behind the steering rack? It looks really close to the stock balancer already
ECS 1500(T trim), pump gas, Alky Cotrol kit on #3. Ported LS3 heads, my cam, 3.125 pulley with DP direct drive. No doubt it would have made 900 on corn but this was way back in the day.
