If you were starting from scratch what timing/window switch controllers and safeguards would you go with? This would be on a plate system on a HCI Z06.

Good luck getting responses as nitrous isn’t really a popular topic here , on my setup I have a fuel pressure safety switch and a NX tps/wot box , I also use the lingenfelter lnc-2000 to retard timing , bout all you can do , I’m also on e85 all the time and I run 110 Sunoco standard race fuel in my stand alone fuel system , some run c-16 or c-12 , I’m not a fan of VP fuels really but you def don’t want an oxygenated fuel in your stand alone or else you’ll have to drain old fuel out and replace with fresh fuel more often if you don’t spray your car much , the 110 standard I use has a pretty good shelf life and I wouldn’t be afraid to let it sit in the cell for a month and use it just fine , also in a sealed container out of the sun and heat it’s good for 6 months to a year
Best place to get this answer is the Z06 vette owners group on facebook. Lots of guys on there with plate kits and h/c z06s. Personally what ever you do use somekind of progressive controller. A h/c 150 shot car will easily make 800ft lbs of torque off the hit imo thats a bit to much for the street and how aggressively it comes on.
I just finished helping a friend build his kit out. We still need to probably add a fuel pressure cutoff to it but we ended up just using the resistor mod that ProNitrous carries for timing control. It's a lot cleaner than the LNC in my opinion. They also have a ton of wiring options that make nitrous installs much easier/cleaner. I built the wiring board for my friend's car but after seeing the ProNitrous stuff I'd probably just go that route instead.
His setup consists of:
Nitrous Outlet 102mm plate
NOS Mini Progressive controller
Standalone fuel cell with c16
ProNitrous resistor mod to control timing

I'm actually building up my setup this fall / winter as well, here is what I'm planning on doing for a 150 shot:
Nitrous Outlet Fast 102 plate kit
Nano 3000psi setup
Nitrous Outlet standalone fuel system
LNC-2000
Some sort of progressive controller (most ProMax)
you won’t need a progressive controller unless your spraying over 150 and or have traction issues , that’s a solid setup though and the same one I have on my car minus the nano and it works flawlessly
I’m not sure where the misconception comes from but using c-16 through a nitrous system offers almost no octane increase because of the minute amount that flows through the fuel jet

Not sure, nitrous outlet suggested it so that’s what we did. I just wire and install things and am probably the furthest thing from a nitrous guy there is. Outside of the 50 shot I’ve put on 2-3 cars to spool the turbo up this was the first real setup I’ve installed.
Nitrous outlet win max, fuel pressure safety switch, LNC-2000. Don’t need a progressor u less you are shooting more than 200. Nitrous outlet plate kit with their stand alone. C16 in the stand alone and 93 in the tank

Agreed, after talking with my tuner I'm going with the WinMax
