Why is my ECS supercharger putting out almost 12 lbs of boost? 07 LS2 with headers and off road x pipe. Stock ECS kit with 3.48 pulley and a 2.75 restrictor(yes restrictor is installed correctly) The only other thing that is changed is the car had an ATI balancer on it when I got it. I can't see a part number on it and it was too hot to measure it. My understanding is the base kit put out 8 or 9 lbs? It's had this issue since I put the supercharger on it 3 years ago. I'm switching the car to a SD tune and I'm starting to see some KR under boost. I had it in pretty good shape on the MAF tune but now it's back. I am going to put it on meth soon after I get finished with this tune. I have some Boostane I can dump in it for now.

Yeah, talking in terms of MAP or absolute pressure is much better. I'm at high elevation and I'm never sure if I should talk about boost relative to "standard" 14.7 psi atm pressure or 12.x psi that I see here.... MAP is what really matters and what's going on in the intake manifold.
Ok, looking over my log MAP is 170 KPA so thats about 10 PSI. The Boost psi I am logging in HP Tuners says 11.60 so something is off in the math.
Boost pressure is MAP - barometric pressure. 170kpa is about 10psi if baro is 100kpa but usually only get baro like that at sea level. I am at 4k+ft and baro is usally 85-90kpa.
