Default Few questions

Is flex fuel just as safe as straight e85 let’s say with my setup 700-800whp if I run out of e and put 91 I can’t necessarily beat on 91 since it isn’t as much octane as e85 should I only use it as a don’t get stranded find e85 before stepping on it? Motor is 11:1

also how far do people take an 08 z06 drivetrain to on roll racing on radials before trans and diff let’s go?

Flex fuel will allow you to use anything between 91/93 and e85. It will adjust the tune in accordance with the alcohol content so yes, you can beat on it with 91 at that power level, if tuned correctly.

Edit: That’s assuming you are using meth for added octane with 91.

No meth

so i have to pull the drivetrain out when installing the engine and drivetrain what’s the best way? Install the engine then attach the drivetrain? Or attach both on the floor then raise together onto the car. Will be done on jack stands

I think the real concern would be once you add on big slicks and start gripping much better. The radials are going to spin therefore putting less stress on the trans and differential. Throw on some big slicks and you are gripping much better and putting all the stress on the clutch, tranny, diff etc . Other than that the stock tires are just going to break loose potentially mitigating any damage that may have taken place otherwise

Radials are actually rougher on stick car than slicks.

Not a option imo...even radials i dont think i would daily. When i was a little younger and only slightly more stupid i would daily drive my 750whp sti on drag radials and just ignore the rain basically pray it was fine. That has since come to an end after a incident i had on et streets on a c6 the other day. Not much rain but a little pooling on the highway off ramp. Hit it while not turning, braking, or accelerating was basically just coasting down the off ramp at 60mph and it hydroplaned and almost sent the car into the ditch. It now has street tires back on it with the radials/wheels in a pile next to it ready for the next track day. Never again will i make the mistake of driving in any amount of rain with a radial.

Like unreal said radials are tougher on the drivetrain then slicks due to the sidewall give you get from a slick. A decent et street or et street r is dead hooking 7-800 wheel torque with ease so your not going to get the spin part of the equation.
