Slowing for a stop light last week realized the clutch was not disengaging. Managed to force it into third gear and nurse it home. Clutch has 5K miles and has never been raced or on a dyno.
I was just watching RPM's You tube channel and they had the same problem on his ZR1's mantic clutch with the spring falling out. Hope that doesn't happen to mine.
Spoke with Mantic rebuild person and they are going to rebuild no charge! He said every 4 or 5 months he get's one in with this issue and believes they received some springs that were out of spec.

RPM definitely is not a fan of Mantics...they aren’t shy about letting the people know either lol. Lots of guys swear they are the pinnacle of clutch’s and a Mantic twin was on my wants list when doing my build, didn’t work out and got an amazing deal from a fellow vet and forum member on a RXT and so far I’m very pleased with that buy. Maybe call them and shoot an email? I’d try the Dale Carnegie method see if that style works or not...spend a good paragraph or two telling them how bad *** and top of the line Mantic is and how you heard about them...by a sound reputation of quality and customer service and you are indeed shocked and puzzled how this happened to such a fine product...probably a just a freak bad egg or maybe just the only one that slipped through quality control pump them up as much as possible and see if they bite...probably a much better strategy than being aggressive, angry and confrontational. Sticking to that method is easier said than done though, at least for me lol.
Sucks you’re in this situation hope it works out for ya...and if you try the “pump them up method” let me/us know if it worked or not.
We've had good luck with Mantic's 9000 so far, it's 3 years old and looked great during this round of building. Actually just bolted it up this morning.
Anything that's mass produced is going to have a bad unit here and there; could just be a question of luck.
If you get another bad one, then try another brand.
