I have a 2006 Convertible with the APS twin turbo system. The fuel pump just quit and stranded me. The system has the MSD Boost A Pump. I checked the gray fuel pump power wire at the tank, and it read 22 volts. This is what burned out the pump. It should not go over 18 volts, and only increase voltage when under boost. I have ordered a new direct fit pump that can support 800 HP with no BAP. I ordered the pump and upgraded wire harnesses from Racetronixs. I want to eliminate the BAP. What is the simplest way to do this? I do not have an MSD wiring diagram. I would like to disconnect it and put the wiring back to stock. I just had surgery on my elbow, so I want to do the easiest way possible to bypass it.
Sounds like the Hobbs switch that activates the BAP under a preset boost failed .... Allowing full voltage to the pump all the times.
I also have a BAP, and although it is working great, I always worry about the Hobbs switch failing and burning out my OEM pump.

EDIT ... Well, I re-read your post in which you said that you were getting 22 volts to the pump all the time. So, I guess in your case, your BAP failed.
I can see the pump burning out being fed 22 volts all the time ... WoW
