Pic is of the Michelen tires on the back of my base LS2, 2007 Corvette. Car has the basic #1593 E-Force kit and Borla ATAK mufflers on stock cats and H pipe with the Edrlbrock box tune.
Car is an A6 trans with 2.56 gears.
Before I run it at the drag strip I will have Speed Inc. in Schaumberg, IL. dyno tune it in place of the Edelbrock box tune.
Right now as it is and on concrete pavement the Michelens hook good.
Once the dyno tune is in do you think this car will need more tire to make meaningful 1/4 miles passes?
Any idea what this car should mph at?

Ok, I figure to mount them on stock gumby type wheels.
Will the 345 35 fit under the base narrow body?
Those are honestly overkill tho they would look badass.
Just get some 17" front C5Z wheels and mount them with 315/35 drag radials like the ones above. You dont need an ET street R since youre likely under 750whp.

Yep, a 345 would be WAY too much tire and they're heavy as hell too.
A 315 would be a good choice but given the 2.56 gears you could also run a 275/40/17. If you live close to the track or can swap them at the track then the Hoosiers are lighter and hook better, otherwise MTs last longer when they're street driven.
From what the OP states, he has a bone stock LS2 automatic base C6 with aftermarket mufflers and the standard E-Force supercharger,. My guess is that he gets about 6 PSI of boost out of it.
At his HP level, the 275/40 -17" drag radial would be the best choice for his car.
Those big 345 drag radials will do nothing but slow him down.
And if he makes the mistake of putting a 345 drag radial on the back, he will need a 12" rear wheel to properly mount that tire on .... may not even fit on a base C6.
I was dead hooking a 26 inch tall 275 et street on a 17 inch wheel with over 800ft lbs of torque on the street.
A buddy uses the 305 45 17 et street also dead hooks also on a pretty healthy shot h/c ls7 that should be well north of 800ft lbs instantly off the hit.
Anyone telling you to run a 345/18 is just wrong. Its heavy its big and doesnt fit your fenders.
Buy the 275/40/17 et street and run either the c5 z06 front in the rear or the c4 zr1 reps are what i use on both our blower base model and my c6 z06 just slightly different widths.

Sorry guys i forgot to put JK. Those are what i use and yes i have 12.5 rims with tubbed wheel wells.
All the above suggestions are on the money.
I guess that was a little harsh.
But my little brother runs those exact same tires on his c6 I think the car would be a bit quicker on a better tire. So it was not a out of line or improbable suggestion you made.
The deal is, even a big 345/30 -19" has very little sidewall since it has only a 30 aspect ratio.
However, a smaller tire with lets say a 40 or 45 aspect ratio might get you better off-line traction just because it will have so much more sidewall (flex)
