First post here, I've been in love with my 2005 z51 C6 for some time now, it's been modified with a 418ci LS3 Stroker by Texas speed alongside a built RPM transmission and a z06 diff swap. Currently tuned to 512whp.
So with the Eagle crank & rods, Diamond -4cc dish pistons, TSP stage 3 cam, and PRC cnc heads I'm sitting at around 11.3:1 compression and I'm just trying to get a sense as to what kind of nitrous shot would be feasible. A 200-300shot is really my goal to make the cost of a nitrous set up worth it. My other main concern is I'm still running the stock fuel pump and I'm sure a 300shot would use a bit more fuel then that is capable of.
My experience with nitrous is pretty small, so any input is appreciated. What kind of fuel pump should I be looking into and how realistic is a 300 shot on a built ls3 thats already pushing out 500+hp. Thanks!
I wouldn’t run anything more than 100hp jetting on the stock pump. For that level of nitrous, the best thing to do is a stand-alone fuel system. It’s an additional $700-800, but that‘s cheap insurance against a blown engine. Plus you can adjust fuel pressure to fine tune your nitrous mixture.

This. You can get away with a 400 shot on plate's these days. But you have to have the fuel and tuning capable of handling a "big" shot.
I'd slowly creep up on more and more spray. Don't just blast it with a 300 shot on a dyno to "see what happens." But a stand-alone fuel system for the N20 system with a dedicated 1-2 gallon fuel cell filled with race fuel will take you a LONG way on the bottle.
