Default How is traction control with SC

I have been considering a M6 Grand Sport for months now for a weekend cruiser. In the event that I'd like to add more power I might be interesting in a SC. How well does traction control work with a SC? My research is steering me toward an A&A V3Si.

Is that due to active handling concerns? It seems like if you can turn it on or off then why would you want to tune it out?

Drag racing in high school in the mid 70’s there was no traction control so I certainly don’t need anything interfering now.

It basically doesn't work as it is programmed for stock power, and even if it tries to pull a bunch, you still over power it. It calms it down a bit, but c6 vettes do not have advanced performance based traction control like newer cars.

Yeah, unless the tuner gets a ton of tables setup as accurately as GM does, which basically no tuner does, it's pretty useless. I'd plan on not having any traction control. Not the end of the world, everyone here with a SC has to deal with the same. Lots of us would turn it off regardless.

Never had any issues with it on any of the C6 Supercharged cars I drove, and drove many, and often. Daily for over a decade.

I have a 2011 GS with an E-force. Traction control still seems to work fine as when I was stock.

But it is habit now that I put the car in Competition mode right when I get in the car.

I appreciate the responses guys. I had a 2000 Camaro SS with a 3600 stall converter and 360whp and never had an issue with the car. I did have Toyo DR's on it that worked very well enough to pull a 1.60 60' and 12/.0 E/T. I respected the power and intend to do the same with the Vette.

2011 GS / A6 . . . . Heartbeat SC

When on street type rear tires (non-drag radials), my car spins the tires just as much with traction control on vs traction control off ... TC don't seem to help at all.

Replacing the stock 1,600 stall torque converter with a 2,800 stall converter made traction even worse.

My experience with c6 traction seems to be night and day better than my c5z , which falls flat on it face. The c6z with 700+whp at lest keeps pulling hard while definitely pulling power. I explain to friends like this . Traction control on = 1.8s 60’ on street every time. Traction control off = 1.7s or better 1out of 10 and 1.9s or worse the other 9out of 10 . Off at drag strip always.

On my ECS supercharged 2011 GS, the traction control definitely kicks in and applies the brakes. I usually turn it off except when I do some highway pulls.
