Default Blower guard

Hi folks, I’m wondering if any of you running a blower guard on their centrifugal? Talked to Josh at A&A and he said it may be worth up to 40-50rwhp on my setup over the standard dongle and filter that comes with the kit. I understand there is a risk in terms of sucking in debris and ruining the blower. I’m on the fence, pros and cons to both. Any input is appreciated, thanks.

I wouldn't run one just day to day driving, if you use your car for that. For a race or 1/2 mile event or something then yeah, go for it. Just keep an eye out to make sure it's not going lean or anything like that, obviously

I should have mentioned car is not a daily driver more of a weekend warrior and doesn’t see the elements if that makes a difference.

For a competitive even, go for it. For around town, or even weekend car, no way. With stock dongle you can make 900rwhp which is enough to do rolling burn outs at 100mph. What is 940rwhp going to do for you that 900 doesn't on the street?

Yeah I decided it’s not worth it. What about running an air filter directly off the blower?

If you are able to watch your AFR when you take the dongle off, i would just pull it when racing and throw it back on when done.
