Making supercharger louder
It's some young squirrelly kid stuff but I don't care. I've got an ECS1500 so there's no whine like you get from a roots blower. I have an almost turbo whistle just off idle and a blow off valve when I let off the gas. My question is: Is there a way to make the supercharger louder? I've googled and can't find much. Found a post for a Mustang/whipple but that was about it.

Most blowers these days are quiet. You can adjust the springs in the BOV to give it a more wooshing sound, but without swapping to a straight cut gear case, which would mean a different blower, you are not going to get the what most people consider, annoying gear whine.

Without changing the guts of the novi the only sound you can really change is the BOV. One of the things I like about the novi is its very hard to hear with the hood closed unless someone rev's it up and the BOV opens.

Like I said, I know it's dumb kid stuff but... the noise of the SC spinning etc makes me happy. I guess the BOV is my only real option. I do appreciate the replies though.

I was driving one day with my son and his friend in the car, when a guy in a nice old chevelle pulled up beside us at the light. My son's friend started to make fun of the old car because it "sounded like it has asthma". I thought that was hilarious since what he was hearing was a roots blower under the hood.

I've got a V3 on mine. Fairly quite except for a little whine. I do like the sound of a nice roots style though. You might look into a different BOV. I've got a big red on mine. That usually gets some attention.
