Default New Eforce build

Last year I did some Iron Mask Airflow porting on my heads and Eforce. That along with a 232/248 .626/.626 117lsa +4 cam. We also shaved the heads a little to bump compression. We made 801/800 to the tires on a Dynojet dyno. A couple weeks ago the bottom end let go.

So the new plan is a Texas Speed 416 short block, PRC heads, Johnson link bars, and a little bigger cam, not sure on specs yet. We're going to do 11.5:1 compression and maybe shoot for less boost and then spray it a little when I'm at the track or after I get the car moving a little. On the street it was pretty hard to use the power/torque that I was making before.

I wasn't logging when it happened so I don't have that, but I heard felt a little something but before I could lift it cam apart. Pulled the blower and passenger head the #6 piston is gone and broke the #5 rod.

Did it happen on a long pull? I can't remember if I read about you gapping the rings on the build or not.

Hopefully the new setup is up to the task!

It was on a longer pull. And no, I didn't gap the rings when I did it. Yes, hoping the new set up does much better.

I'd like to drop down to the 3" pulley but worried about something happening like this. Lots of long, straight, empty roads in ND.

Probably should have the rings gapped before I drop to the party pulley.

I'd do less compression and do more boost.

My blower will only make so much boost on a 416 and from what I've been told these little blowers like a lot of compression.

Finally got the 416 fired up. Thing started quick and made 50 psi of oil pressure right off the bat. Pretty excited to see what she does.
