Default ECS Kit RWHP

Good Morning Everyone!

I recently bought a 13 GS A6, 8500 miles. Immediately went in for the following: BTR Red Hot Cam, BB Bullet Exhaust, Corsa CAI, X Pipe, FTI 3200 Triple Disc, Dyno Tune, Powerbond Balancer. Car put down 460 to the wheels.

I enjoyed that for about 100 miles and decided that I wanted to move up the second stage of the build. I went ahead and ordered an ECS kit after discussions with Chris (great people by the way).

Vehicle will remain on pump gas (for now). Is anyone running a similar setup? I was told that I should expect 600-625 WHP. What kind of numbers and 1/4 times are you guys seeing? Goal for the car is mid to high 10’s on a Nitto DR.

Thanks for the feedback!

My 08 base model has headers, BTR LS3 centrifugal cam(the one the red hot replaced),ecs/a&a setup with Novi 2200hd, and circle D 3800 converter. I made 650 to the wheels in 93 but currently on E85. I haven't been to any 1/4 tracks but I run at the local 1/8 and can run consistent low 6's at 115ish mph with big IAT issues. Working on changing intercooler setups now and have no doubts the car will easily drop into the 5's.

Are you sure that 5's are going to be easily attainable? 5.95 equates to running a 9.25 1/4 mile. That seems pretty steep for a car that makes low 700hp on E85.

The calculator I use says a car with 800rwhp weighing 3400 is supposed to run a 6.33 8th and 9.4 1/4.

IMO you're gonna be disappointed, but I am really interested in what your real world performance turns out to be. Keep us posted!

he’s making 650 w a 3800 stall
thats a far cry from 650 through a manual trans
I ran 9.5 in a 3400 lb car with only 519 rwhp. Wheels up and all.

What do you reckon i'll run with 1100 rwhp through a 6L80E weighing 3600lbs?

Yea it won't be that difficult. It has very high IAT's right now so tons of timing pulled. We are also keeping the rpm down to limit boost because of the IAT's. Once we get it switched to A2W where i can lean on it some more it will do it. If you look at this slip you will notice my mph is pretty low for the ET because of all this.

Depending on what type tires, converter, how much you can actually put down w/o breaking loose, the hp curve, I'd say bottom 9's high 8's if she stays together when hooked up.
I don't know you're whole set up but there are plenty of 12 second 1100 hp cars around, not saying yours is one of them but anyone who have been to a drag strip has seen what I'm talking about.
There was a Mustang guy Mike, had 1/2 my hp and beat my *** every time we lined up. It's not all about hp. It's about the combo and the work you put in.

I'm happy with the car even though it's not perfect yet. Definitely a fun daily driver. Since we decided to keep it turned down to take pity on the motor lately i've been doing some hard tire racing which is REALLY fun because you gotta drive it. This video is me on a 305/30/19 Atturo 850 tire (320 treadwear rating)

No one can answer that question without knowing what pulley sizes you will be running. If your Powerbond balancer is underdriven, you'll need to change that with the blower. Will you have headers? Meth? A lot of factors come into play.

No Meth. There are ARH 1 7/8 headers on the car now. I forgot to put that in my original post. 3.25 pulley.

Like I said, you'll need to swap to an overdrive unless you want to slow the blower down. A 3.25/8'' will make over 700rw on corn and has the potential to go 9's

Well I guess technically a 6.0 in the 8th is low 6's lol but I figured you meant 6.3's or so. lol

Running in the 5's is just a matter of time if you're running 6.0
