Hello, so I have a 2006 ls2 m6 car with about 55k on the odometer. I currently have a kooks 2”-3” set of long tubes and a 3” x pipe. I also have an AA kit with a 4” pulley and the racetronix booster I am planning to install soon. It seems like if I’m installing the blower now and paying for a dyno tune I should also add a cam. I want something pretty mild that will still be very drivable but add some power and provide some choppiness as well. What should I go with.
I'd recommend contacting Patrick Guerra (https://www.patgtuning.com/custom-camshafts ) for professional advice on what you need for a cam. He'll take your specific info for your car and your desired requirements and give you custom ground cam specs you can get ground at CAMMOTION. He gave me specific recommendations for my '08 Vette with headers/exhaust.... worth the money !
did you go with the v1 or the newer v2? I was leaning towards the v1
Curious myself, but same specs online as the V2. 230/25x and .650/.650 with 116 lift. I went with tuner recommendations, but don't really know the difference in the V1.

Pat was a tremendous resource. I don't think he's doing cam recs any more though.
Be aware that if you want a "MILD" cam that is truly streetable, you don't need too much additional duration and lift. I see lots of guys going with lifts above .600 and I wonder if they realize this puts a strain on the valve springs which then requires inspection every 20 to 25k miles. If you're racing or tracking the car, go for it. But if you intend on this being a car for trips and cruising, I'g go mild on the aftermarket cam.... especially if you intend to supercharge it. A big cam will also kill your gas mileage... just be aware of the drawbacks before you pull the trigger !

Increased lift and duration aren't necessarily engine killers. My cam, at mid 220's intake and mid 230's exhaust with .620 lift is all kinds of goodness at 50K miles. I did change the stock rocker arms and BTR platinum dual springs at the 30K mile mark. My cam is a custom spec done by Cam Motion. Their cams are known to be valve train friendly. Performance cams can be a blessing or a curse. Do your homework.

You keep pushing this theif! Why would anyone buy his cam specs anymore? Full on generic you can buy anywhere now. Even uses
generic cams for roots and centri! Now, his full on BS push is worldwide email tuning. I am sure you remember my problems from him
tuning my car! If you like, plenty of reminder threads here i can bring up!

I try to give honest opinions based on experience. I've interacted with all sorts of folks during my years playing with cars. Pat has done several cams and a street tune for me. Everything he did for me was spot on. I spent a couple of hours cruising the streets of Victoria with him while he did a street tune on my Vette. I thought he was a very personable and genuine guy. I'm sorry your experience was less than satisfactory. I'm not going to pile on the guy based on someone else's experience.

Fair enuff. But you have seen negative experiences from decent, very honest, people you have had experience with here on this forum! You know who i am talking about! They saw my tunes from Pat G, the so called expert! It is not just this thread where you pumped up his tires! It has been going on for years with zero results except your opinion! It has become a joke! Do you realise your opinion and pumping affects honest people? Just saying!
