I have a 2013 GS w an A&A kit which was installed over 10k miles ago. Recently for the 1st time we discovered oil coming through vent hose from dry sump and ending up in air filter.
Im trying to understand how this works. My shop is saying catch can is the answer.
Why would this start happening now after 1000s of miles? I do mostly Mountain driving, no track, no racing.
A&A kits are completely carb compliant, this means they retain PCV and recirculate contaminated air back into the intake like it would in stock applications. Completely normal especially with spirited driving. A catch can is the best option, it will collect this in the can rather than in your intake, which is better for the combustion process.

Thanks for the info. This is what my shop is saying as well. Catch Cans should arrive next few days. Still strange to me that for 1000s of miles I never saw oil and now do. Car pulls hard and feels great. Ive revved it to redline before but generally baby the car. My tuner has it set with a pretty safe tune. I cant imagine there is anything wrong.
