Default Centri LS3 Vs LT4

Gents I test drove a stock C7Z06 and loved the refined feeling of it. Definitely an amazing car. But I got out feeling like the power wasn’t as strong as my bolt on a & a set up. I am delusional? What comparisons have you all done. I didn’t get the wow factor I wanted in terms of brute power feeling. I’m running a V3TI with 3.8 pulley, Lg super pros and borla stinger set up.

650 crank vs I’m assuming you make 650+rwhp. PD blower should feel more torquey. Mod the LT4 and you might feel differently.

So the problem with the C7 Z06 as far as I'm concerned is:
1. Cost of the car
2. The cost to make it fast. Stock you're at about 580rwhp.

I'll probably get one myself eventually, but it will have to have some mods already done like a cam/ported blower/fuel system before I shell out $65K+.

A Ti is the perfect size for an LS3, even with the large pulley. It gives lots of very drivable power. Try a 3.4".

Is the 3.4 good for stock internals, what would I see over the 3.8?

I had a concern about using a 3.4" with a SBE so I plumbed in a boost controller to limit the WHP to 750 which is considered safe for a SBE. The boost controller limits boost to 9.5 PSI. I put the car on a dyno and adjusted the boost controller until I saw 750 WHP. The boost will come in much earlier with the 3.4" pulley.

What are you seeing with the 3.8"?

I have to get the boost measured. As far as power, I made 580hp and 531tq.

You can pulley down to any size you want with a Griptec pulley. They grip hard. I’m in the mid 800’s whp with a 3.5”. Here’s the sizes. The TI likes to be spun. The car will feel more snappy down low the harder you spin while making more power up top. 2.50", 2.65", 2.70", 2.75", 2.80", 2.87", 2.90", 2.95", 3.00", 3.10", 3.12", 3.125", 3.20", 3.25", 3.30", 3.33", 3.375", 3.40", 3.42", 3.45", 3.47", 3.48", 3.50", 3.55", 3.58", 3.60", 3.625", 3.65", 3.70", 3.80" 4.00", 4.50"

that's close to what the C7Z makes...I'm surprised the power didn't feel stronger to you in the Z

I think it's not just a power difference you are feeling. C7Z06 is about 250 lbs heavier than your C6. That weight makes significant difference.
