Default WTB Fuse Box Cover

I just noticed that the latch on my underhood fuse box cover is broken and was wondering if anyone had an extra cover they would like to sell.

You may find one from a reseller of used parts. But you will not find one new. GM only sells the entire fuse box for around $300. Last month I saw a few on this forum but they are seldom seen here. I hope someone gives you a positive response. Try Corvette Recycling also, that's where I got one.

I didn't realize the cover would be hard to source. I wonder if the dealer would replace it under warranty.

Kevin,

My local dealer found a part number for just the cover. It is on backorder, but they ordered it and felt it would arrive in a few weeks. Thanks for the reply.

You mean you can get just the cover and not the entire fuse block? Up until now, that was the only way (and $300) we could get just the OEM replacement fuse block covers.

They will tell you in a few weeks that it's no longer available. It's been tried many times. I still have one on back order from about a year ago.

I'll certainly eat my words if they prove me wrong...

Per Gene Culley at gmpartshouse.com, there is only one part # and that's for the entire fuse block, including the cover, and Gene knows his GM parts.

The dealer researched and found a part number after ordering an $8 cover that was the wrong part. The dealer said the cost of the cover was about $31. If the cover comes in I will post the part number (She did say it was on backorder).

Hopefully she didn't confuse it with a C5 fuseblock:

My fuse box cover came in today. The cover came with the decal inside the cover that shows the fuse/relay locations. It did not have the decal on the outside that shows how to jump start the car. I was able to peel the jump start decal off the old cover and it stuck to the new cover. The part number is 19116372 and the cost was $30.70 before tax. The cover took a little over 2 weeks to receive.

What dealer did you get this through? My local dealer cannot find the part number you provided and says it does not exist. I'd like to order a couple.

Not bad. I had to give $20.00 for a scuffed used one at Corvettes@Carlisle last year with no decal at all. Works well as a temporary cover to keep the dust and any moisture out of the fuse block while the Battery Tender is connected to the positive terminal which is what I was looking for. Surprising that no one else on here (vendors) could supply the cover only though.

I am also unable to find this part number, can you provide a link to purchase online?

Thanks!
