Sorry if I didn't reply to you. I've been under double Chemo once a month for the past year so I've not been on the forum hardly any.

They have a GoFundMe going so that they can produce lenses, after which it will be possible to refurbish again.
There is someone else trying to put together the funds to reproduce the lens. I did my funding myself and we are in the tweaking/sample stage and should be going to production within the following week. End of December is my target date to have these in my possession.

I posted all over the forums starting last October, 2015, that GM rescinded my agreement with them concerning the lens and wouldn't make them available to anyone and wouldn't offer them themselves. My inventory ran out last June and I didn't want to say anything concerning what I was doing until I had them ready. The person starting the Kickstarter campaign caused me to to spill the beans a little earlier than planned.

I'll be posting up a few pics tomorrow so everyone can see these are for real.

I have received lens samples from the supplier and we are working out a few final details. Some changes were made in the design to produce a near perfect lens unlike the iffy quality I was dealing with with the factory lens. A higher grade of poly-carbonate and UV protection.

We are on track to receive the first order by the end of December. While pricing hasn't been establish it will be in line with what the OEM pricing was.

I will be doing a major update in several forums as well as eBay and my website as soon as I know shipping is in progress. You can help spread the word as you see threads asking about the lens. I definitely appreciate it.
I will be looking at this after the first of the year so good to know

Sweet!! I just bought my 3rd C6 and the lenses need replaced. Im pretty sure I bought my lenses from you a couple years ago for my 1st C6. I was searching all over trying to figure out where I bought them from, then found this thread. New lenses are on my winter plans when I pull it apart for the cam install and other misc stuff. Cant wait for updates.

RL,
I will be getting my lenses from you ,not the new guy... You have been a great supplier of lights and lenses on this forum for years , and you've always been fair and honest with us..Put me down for a set of lenses as soon as they become available....Hope your health improves soon....WW

What is the cost? I read "in line with OEM". What was that pricing?

I know the lenses on ebay were about $150 a piece and you install them yourself.

Here's a teaser pic of one of the samples I received seeking approval for production. I wanted everyone to know that this real. The lens is about 98%. The optical quality is very good (as good as any factory lens ever was) but I am going to see if they can bring it to perfect.

Keep posting and look for any updates mostly here or unless I direct to a new thread. Thanks for all the good words and support.

I'll get better shots as well.

Will you be able to order them without the www.rlsebring.com on them? - don't think many will like that - most people know your the one who is selling them anyways or when searching come back to you 99% of the time. I would refer anyone in my club in need to you only if they didn't include that writing. It probably will show up too much on darker colors

Is this the same effort as the current kickstarter?

Ditto! I have a black car and this would stick-out too much. Perhaps you can put the mark on the non-visible section, per make it much smaller and out of sight. Looks are everything here.

You're about to make a killing on these....

Wish I had come up with this. At any rate, sub'd, as I will need a set as well.
