Just got a message from Ken Kelly regarding raising the torque limits. I haven't really driven my street car hard enough for it to kick in, but I'll likely go ahead a write it all out of the system.

The only thing that has been done to mine is raise the TQ by RPM in each gear. I still have everything else active. I have noticed quite a bit of difference in the car even with TC on. It now seems to pull much harder before TC kicks in.

With all of the diff's breaking I am not sure I want to turn off wheel hop control. If we knew exactly what this does it would be easier to decide.

How did you adjust it?

Now maybe I understand........my car now has wheel hop once in a while and it never had it before. Before I had the LG headers and tune it never once had wheel hop. I guess they turned something off?

by default, my 05 has "wheel hop" prevention enabled by both reducing timing and closing throttle. I don't know if you are faster modulating the wheel hop with your foot, or by letting the PCM do it, but I bet they tuned it out.

Default Tm

I think a better solution would be to tune these parameters rather than just cut them off.

FYI, turning traction control off does not turn Torque Management off in a C6.

IMO, Tuning the RPM limit where TM pulls timing can improve your launch and traction in 1st and 2nd on street tires. Especially with Engine Mods

midnite, that can be true. However, I have yet to find a computer that can modulate throttle better than an experience human "foot". If you would prefer to flat-foot it instead of driving, then TM could potentially be a driver aid, instead of a hardware aid as designed.

It boggles my mind that OEM ABS systems can be soooo good, yet AH and TC systems (I've used them in Porsches, BMW's, and of course Corvettes) are really bad, bordering on dangerous in performance driving situations.
