Default Predator tuning question?

I've just installed the diablo tune from my new predator and now it seams like my traction control system is not working correctly. The tires spend no matter how i try and take off even from a rolling start!!

Did you disable it when you did the tune? I have an 06 and they don't make one for mine yet, but I thought that turning traction control on and off was one of the options.

Yep - that'll happen when you get more HP and get rid of TM!

Even the Predator, which is a low-level generic tune for stock or lightly modified cars, will probably add 15 HP. I think the Diablo tune also gets rid of most of the Torque Management, so you'll be putting down a lot more power to the rear wheels than before.

Your Traction Control is probably still working just fine - you can spin the rear wheels with TC on. Turn it off and you can really smoke 'em!!!

Traction Control and Active Handling are what you turn on/off with that button on the center console. You can turn TC on/off, turn AH on/off, and go into Comp mode all you want to with that button.

Torque Management is something the General built into the PCM to reduce power to keep from damaging drive train components. Most tuners (including Diablo/Predator) can get rid of Torque Management (at least most of it).

Now that I have installed the Diablo tune I don't have the options for t/c or power management in option settings on the tuner. It is like running on a gravel road the car fish tails so much!!

I think you're confusing Torque Management (something that can only be tuned out by a tuner, including your Predator), and Traction Control (which you can turn on and off as you desire with the button on the console of your car).

Most people are extremely happy to have your problem, i.e. Torque Management gone. See this thread:
