Default LS2 Edit

I'm about to have cam work and some other stuff done to my car. The shop I go to uses a tuner who uses LS2 Edit. As part of the tune, I would prefer that TM be reduced, shift points changed, shift pressures increased, and the rev limiter eliminated.

Is LS2 Edit capable of doing these things? I understand that the LS2Edit files can be locked...and that I should make sure that the tuner does NOT lock his file. Anything else I should know?

Thanks!

If you take your car to Speed INC, which is not too far from you, they will use HP Tuners, so you can be sure your ECM won't be locked.

They also have our latest updates as well.

If you take it to the LS2 Edit shop, I remember reading that there is a way to not lock the LS2 ECM's when you tune, but just be sure to ask your tuner to double check.

Speed INC's website is www.ls1speed.com

Keith, I've been told that HP tuners can change shift points, but not shift pressures. I would think changing shift pressures on a double clutch auto would be extremely risky.

Also, a tuner friend of mine that uses your software says that the ECM pulls 20 degrees of timing when the A6 shifts. He also says that he can not remove torque management. Is this true?

Thanks,
Glenn

Keith I've sent you p.m's regarding Speed Inc. Although you show the HP tune released Larry from Speed Inc wrote me he still cannot tune an a6. Have you discussed with Dave as I want to install headers and get a tune and it does not sound like he's ready to tune an a6

Our last public release of software can in fact tune A6 transmissions, but we do not support torque management delete of those TCM's just yet.

I do not know if LS2 edit supports that.

What are your plans on the Torque Management for the A6's?

I would be interested too and also if it supports changing converter lockup functions. I like my lock up different than most factory speed settings.

yeah the lockup functionality is there...just not the full TM delete...there are some TM parameters for the tranny but not all at this time.
