Default help with tuning question

I have a 07 C6 and just had LG Longtubes, free flow cats, x-pipe and Corsa Extreme cat-back added with 160 stat. The fan runs all the time, even when the car is just started.

At what coolant temp should my fan turn on and off?

Thanks

192 degrees fan power % = 0.000000
196 ................................0.000000
199................................14.99 9390
203................................22.99 9573
207................................30.99 9756
210................................38.99 9939
214................................47.00 0122
221................................55.99 9756
225................................74.00 0549
228................................89.90 0207
232................................89.90 0207
235................................89.90 0207
239................................89.90 0207
243................................89.90 0207
246................................89.90 0207
250................................89.90 0207

That's what I show for my fan settings.

Bottom line? Fans run when coolant hits 192 degrees.

Elmer

Elmer,

Thanks for your reply.

Does your figures reflect what the coolant temps for the fan to run should be with exhaust set-up I am running or a stock set-up?

Your exhaust work shouldn't affect where you set the fan. I have mine set to come on sooner, at higher percentages. 192:20% 194:50% 196:70% 198 and above:89%

I set mine with the Predator to effectively double the % from 203 to 221, then come on at 99%. If it gets to 220, I want full power to the fans. But I agree with 6Speeder that exhausts should have nothing to do with fans running.
