I updated my Predator 7194 with the U7194-8r07 file. Then I hooked up to install the 91 octane tune. After the back up of the stock tune and before the modified 91 octane tune was loaded, the Predator said it did not recognize the car. I continued and it installed the tune anyway. This was confirmed by the last tune installed info. Was this a one time screen because of the software update or what?
anyone see this after doing an update on the software or ever?

Isn't 7194 the same as U7194??In which case no update was needed...

Have you ever read on any forum anyone saying that their Predator stated, vehicle not recognized?

Sounds like it was just confused for a second...but all should be well now if it installed the tune.

Thanks
Mike

Did you restore the factory tune to the car PRIOR to updating the Preditor's software?

If not, perhaps the new software overwrote or corrupted the factory tune that was stored in the Preditor when it upgraded.

It issued the 'not recognized' error after the upgrade and after the backup. The question would be did it keep the orig factory tune in it's memory or did it overwrite & save the one it found in the car after the upgrade and saved IT as the factory tune?

I guess worst case could be is that you no longer have a factory tune..... not a big deal I guess.

Finally got a chance to restore the factory tune to see how the ECM reacted. All went fine.

I did restore factory tune before upgrading firmware. I was thinking with the upgrade it might take a second for the Diablo to recognize my car and just wondered if anyone else had seen this message after upgrading the software (firmware).
