I’ve been going over my tune parameters from a log created by my Diablo Motorsports tuner and have a question about torque management. Is “Torque Management Spark retard” the only control “Torque Management” (TM) has over the engine power output? Does TM have any control over the A6 transmission? My understanding of the A6 has me thinking the Transmission Control Module (TCM) in the tranny has total control over how the tranny behaves but my knowledge is sketchy at best …
thanks for any help/info

Log actual throttle position and commanded throttle position.
This will allow you to see if TM is causing the throttle to close, even when you command WOT. I doubt this is happening though, as most of the TM on the PCM side is removed in the Automatics.
You should see no TM spark retard at all.
The TCM does have some TM in it as well, but should not be getting in the way.
