Default Predator Help

I have been doing some logging with my Predator and noticed my A/F was running rich 10.8 to 11.0 at WOT I wanted to lean it out a little but when I tryed to edit the tune i was given a message " Motor and trans type not supported" The Predator im using is a VR7194 with the
8r04 crom I have tryed to upload the new 8r10 crom. Predator message " cannot load u7194
application into vr7194" and now the unit will not boot Message says "Requires crom file before use". Anyone have an idea.

Are you running a supercharged setup?
The Predator you have is for a Vortech supercharger kit.
You are attempting to apply the wrong .crom file update to it.
I'll see if I can find the correct crom file for this tool.

Thanks
Mike

Mike,

Yes the car is supercharged. I just talked to Christina and she send me crom 8r05 which is the update for my unit. Do you know if the tune in the VR7194 is locked i cant modify the parameters, or did this get addressed in the new update?

Not sure if you can actually modify any of the parameters in this tool, as Vortech may not want to let you mess things up...

Thanks
Mike

Sure you had the car in the accessory position?
Try again, and try going through the menu and keep trying, as I have seen these tools do some strange things like that before.
You did restore the stock tune to the car before you updated it, correct?

Thanks
Mike

Mike,

No I did not restore the stock tune. Should I reload the factory tune
then try and reload the Vortech tune?

Yes, you must ALWAYS restore the backup before updating the Predator.
