Default A6 shift problem since converter

I have been having shift problems since I installed my torque converter (Yank 3200). The car has a major delay between the 1-2 shift. I am attaching the log and tune. Someone please help. The car is a 2006 vette. Thanks
Here is the link to the post I made on Hp Tuners website. My log and tune are in there.

Just a thought, try raising the rev limiter by 200 rpm in 1st gear. Then lower the 1 to 2 shift by 2 mph and 100 rpm.

What tables are you referring to? I am thinking about lowering the 1-2 mph in all the WOT Shift Speed vs. shift speed tables. We had to drop the lockup of the converter in the tune to 75mph to make it lockup at 102mph. Im not sure why you have to trick the computer for the converter? Maybe that is why it is shifting stupid. Not sure

My car was locking up about 5K in third gear. As of right now, I have it set to not lock up at all at WOT.. It feels so much better.... Ideally, I would love to have it lock up at the top of second to get my mph up in the 1/4... I was messing around with it last night, I'll let you know if I find a sweet spot... When it was locking up in third, there was a slight rpm drop....

The way to find the sweet spot is to make a dyno pull with it unlocked and make one of it locked. Print both charts and put them on top of one another. We did this with mine and picked up 10 rwhp at 102 mph. Good luck with it

You would think locking it up anytime in second gear would give you some gains over locking it in third. I'm guessing you have a really tight converter if you are making more power until 102 on converter.. Which converter are you running?

The graph thing is a good idea... I've read several post on HpTuners site where they have done the same thing. I'll probably do that once my headers are installed...

My understanding is it's generally a good idea to lock the converter
anywhere past 40mph (That's when it becomes less efficient).... Since I change into second at 43-44, I'm thinking the end of second would be good... 69-71mph...

Do you have that dyno graph layover by chance? I'd love to see it on an A6....

I might have the chart somewhere. I would have to look. Locking a converter should be tested on a dyno with a load to tell when to lock it up. Every car is differant. I have a 3200 Yank and I find it to be pretty loose. On my old car, I used to lockup at 76 mph and it would gain 2-3 mph from lockup. (It was a Whipple cobra auto conversion). Locking the converter too soon could result in early converter clutch wear and loss of power from not using the converter to its fullest protential. I have friends with Lightning trucks that never lock the converter because the truck slows down. The truck requires the converter to keep it rolling. Every car is differant.

Just curious, did Yank say their converter would hold-up to WOT lock-up? Most of the lock-up clutches used in non-FI applications aren't that strong. If the converter lock-up isn't fairly instantaneous, the slippage can glaze or burn-up the clutch.
