Predator Not Uploading
0: Part No. not found in vehicle database
Why am I getting this message when I try to upload the Predator Tune? I have a used U7191 for my 05 LS2 MN6 and it supposed to have been restored.
The Last Tune Written shows Diablosport Tune.

whelp, as is the case with a LOT of people who buy a used one, you find out too late that yours is still LOCKED to the previous vehicle...
and the ONLY way to unlock it so you can use it, is to have the original owner restore the original backup to his car.
if it was unlocked/restored, the last tune written would say "original backup"...
you got taken...

The manual says if this message shows to check the version. I have v.7r96, and the website is up to 9r02. So apparently I need an update? But why does it not work with my 05? Is it because I had a factory reflash well after the 7r96?

WOW!! that is an ANCIENT revision too... you can't update it via the internet downloads... those old tools don't have that capability...
and I just TOLD you why it won't work... it's because it is still locked to the other guys car - AND, now that I know it's that old revision, it won't even unlock if he does restore the original backup...
you're stuck with it... it won't work, it's locked to that old car... and there is no way to unlock it...

So, if one were to buy a used Predator, how would one know it was ready for another car? Would it not show a VIN in memory?

it would have to be on an 8rXX or 9rXX revision, and the "last tune written" needs to show "original backup" to know that it's been unlocked...
BUT, that won't stop someone from restoring their original backup to their car, taking a picture of the predator screen showing last tune written was "original backup", sending that picture to you, then they go a load the tune back in their car before they ship it out to ya...
then, you still just got a locked predator shipped to ya...
