Had my 08 Z51 coupe in service for warranty work, sway bar end links and differential fluid change. They also updated the software to ECM WC: 11F3C. Anyone know what this upgrade might be? I feel no difference in the performance of the car, I was just wondering if anyone knew what the software upgrade effected? Rumor around the boards is that GM is locking the ECM's?
there's no performance difference... but yup, your ECM will now be locked...
Is this locked ECM just a rumor or fact? And I thought the update was supposed to have the updates from the '09, I.E. Knock sensor fixes, 5th gear rpm spike, and a couple of enhancments for a little more SOTP and a little bit of power (talking a few horses, nothing to write home about)?
