2008 c6. have a few questions while learning the HP tuners software..
Fuel control--> fuel cut off --> "Extreme cutoff" is set at 6700 rpm. Is this the " rev limiter"?I also found a Gear VS rpm limit.. are those the only 2 places?
anyone know what is safe for the stock valvetrain to rev to? im not looking to rap it out but im wanting to bump it up to shift right at 6700 with out hitting the limiter.
Any recommendations for the System --> Fan settings with the stock thermostat?
when you install Headers with offroad X pipe, what DTCs need to be disabled and what other settings need to be changed?

thanks in advance.
Yes, this is the rev limit. With the stock cam, heads, etc....you may bump up the rev limit but I doubt it will improve your 1/4 mile times. I increased by rev limit to 6700 after the heads, cam, and headers but changed it back to 6600 rpm. Maybe my car has 'issues' but you can experiment without too much trouble.
I recommend change the fans to come on sooner with the a/c off. I have mine set at 0% below 170 degrees ECT, 50% up to 200 degrees ECT, then 90% over 200 degrees. But my car never goes more than 180 degrees anyway because I have a 160 degree 'stat. With a stock stat, you may going to to something line 0% below 180, 50% 180 - 200, then 90% at 200 degrees. But you can play with it to keep it close to 200 degrees with the stock 'stat.
I don't recall you need to disable any DTC with headers and x-pipe if reinstall all 4 O2 sensors. You will need to change your tune, however.

I do believe that anything over 49% is the same as 100% on the fans. (you may know this, but I just thought I'd let you know in case ya didn't)
Geez....I guess my memory is starting to go.....Brian is correct. Fans start at 192 not 170. Don't know anything about 50% being the same as 100%. Have to research that one.
In any case, my ECT seems to stay right at 180 even when it over 90 degrees outside.
My x-pipe is after the cats and rear O2 sensors. Its my understanding the if you remove the cats and have rear O2 sensors, it will have a DTC.
