Default Which OBD scanner?

I need to know what C6 owners are using to read and clear codes? I have done a search but cant find anything. I have heard the Actron but not sure if it can read and clear all codes.

I have and love my Diablosport Predator. Best thing ever, almost sold it to a guy once but he returned it to me because he didn't want to flash his car (he got scared ), LUCKY for me because I sold it to him for half what I paid for it because I didnt think I'd use it after my s/c install. Well, **** I've used it like 10 times to read codes and clear codes etc., it's WELL worth the money because it gives you instant information and you don't have to take your car to the shop just to have it read (and I would never take my car to Autozone... bad battery experience).

Too much money for a code reader only. Thanks for the input.

I see there are many OBD II readers/ resetters on Ebay cheap, just wonder if they work well.

You might be able to get one for $1-150... depending on the person selling it. It sure reads all the codes though!

If you simply want a reader to scan and clear codes, and IF you have a laptop, your options are wide open. You'll just need the software and a USB -> OBDII cable. Check out ElmSCAN Scanmaster software, though you can simply Google "OBDII Diagnostic Software" and practically just take your pick.

IF you want to tune as well, then you'll want to stick with one of the "big 3" OBDII programs here. (EFIL, HPT, or DS handheld)

Personally, I'm wanting to integrate EFI Live into a CarPC for in-dash, real time diagnostics and tuning.

Good luck. Report back, I'd love to know what software you go for and how you like it.

There are two economical obdii programs on shareware.com for under $100.00. An OBDii interface (ELM327) will cost about $15-25 on ebay. Wha La you’re done!

CReader V is newly developed by LAUNCH, specially designed for car owners or DIYs to diagnose any vehicle that is compliant to OBDII/EOBD.
It not only can read/clear DTCs, but also can read live data in 2 modes, and perform many special tests. Tri-languages make it operation easily for a technician.
