Default Help answer needed !

( Chevy 06-09 Corvette C6/Z06 Diablo Predator Tuner U7194 ) Has anyone here had experience with this device. I need it to allow me to correct a check engine light problem created by my installing a set of long tube headers on my 08 Z06 I need to be able to deal with the rear 02's not seeing the correct information from the hi flow cat's. I know HP tuners or EFI live will do it. If i can use the Predator that will suit my needs. But don't want to waste money if I ultimately wind up needing something else instead. Informed opinions appreciated. Thanks Lou

No the predator will not allow you to do it. I have one for sale on the forums right now. A few years ago they used to do it but they changed all that. There is a guy that you can data log and E-MAIL him the tune you are running and he will optimize it and fix the 02 sensors for a fee. His nickname is 06montess and here is his website. I hear nothing but good things and the guys at diablosport recommend him.

Thanks for the reply, Are you saying that the predator will allow me to log a tune & then e-mail it to this guy & he can correct what needs to be done? I'm trying to figure the most economical way to load a light tune into my car & shut off the light without a lot of hassle & then returning it to the stock program when needed.

Thats exactly what im saying. The predators come with a few canned tunes. Like a 91 oct. tune a 93 oct. tune and maybe a CAI tune. You would load that to you car. Then drive it for like 60-100 miles and then data log what he requires. Then download it to your computer and E-MAIL to him. He would optimize it and fix the rear sensors and E-mail it back to you. Then load it back to your car. When you go to the dealer just load the stock tune back in. Ive PM'd him a couple times for help. Nice guy and he is on this forum sometimes. Check out his website and e-mail him.

yes... you will need a custom tune in order to get the rear O2 trouble codes disabled, since that functionality was removed from the predators about a year and a half ago due to EPA regulations...

yes, you can data log with the predator, save them with it, then export them to your PC using diablosport's Dataviewer application....

you need to have the usb/serial cable and power adapter for the predator tho, so that you can connect it to your PC to be able to download log files, update the predator, import/export tune files, etc etc....

what revision is on your predator? when it boots up and is at the main menu, there's a number at the top of the screen... what's that number...

and here is my site regarding my custom tuning, to gain even more over the canned/preset tunes...

http://www.eprowebdesigns.com/DiabLew_Tune/

has a link to a small sample of some testimonials I've gotten from people, links to applications and instructions you'll need, info on how to do a proper data log and what parameters to log, etc etc...

thanks for the good words, highside!
