Default Clearing codes without scan tool?

Is there a way to clear codes on a 09 corvette with out a scan tool, using the dash buttons or not? I know on my 02z you can but was wondering if you can do the same on the 09? If so explain please.

I thought the newer ECMs held the codes now. That was the easiest way to blank the codes on the older ECMs.

C5 was the last to allow you to clear the codes by disconnecting the battery. The C6 needs a scan tool of some kind to read and clear them.

Many parts stores (Azone) will loan you the scan tool or will clear the codes for you for free.

Autozone or Advanced free removal. Disconnecting the Battery dosent work, the ECM stores the code.
